PARKING: is free, but please feel free to make a donation to the youth groups working in the lots.

FREE ADMISSION: If you wear an authentic Dirndl or Lederhosen to Frederick’s Oktoberfest, your admission FREE. Partial dress, German t-shirts, and/or hats do not qualify as free admission.

PETS: The Fairgrounds has a strict “No Pets” policy, and we have to abide by it.  So please leave your furry loved ones at home, even the well behaved ones. This is not something that we can control it is part of our contract.

SMOKING: The fairgrounds has designated the entire fairgrounds as a “No Smoking” area. There is no where to smoke on the fairgrounds.


GROUP SALES:  Group packages are available for Oktoberfest! Complimentary admission is provided to both the motor coach driver and group escort with a minimum of thirty participants. Groups also receive free parking and will be greeted by an event ambassador. Suggested itineraries that include Oktoberfest, a step on guide tour of Frederick’s historic district and visit to the Schifferstadt Architectural Museum are also available. LODGING:  Discounted accommodations ($119 per night-2015) are available through the Marriott Fairfield Inn & Suites. Guests can contact the hotel directly at 301.631.2000 and mention the Oktoberfest Group Block to obtain the discount rate.

DACHTOBERFEST:  The Washington Metro Dachshunds Festival coincides with Oktoberfest at the Great Frederick Fairgrounds on Saturday, October 3.  Oktoberfest welcomes patrons attending the Weiner Races and the Dachshund Strut Costume Parade to also enjoy brats and sauerkraut!  Details about DachtoberFest.
