The online volunteer registration is closed at this time, however, we still need volunteers for our event. Please send an email to volunteerme@frederickoktoberfest.org and include your name, email address and T shirt size. Also let us know when you will be available during the weekend. We will return your email just as soon as we can.

The other option is to just show up at the event. We love walk-ins!

See below for further instructions.

Frederick’s Oktoberfest is produced by The Rotary Club of Carroll Creek and The Rotary Club of Southern Frederick County. Oktoberfest does not have any paid employees- everyone is a volunteer. Every penny we raise with your help provides resources to support our community projects including:

  • Advocates for Homeless Families
  • RISE
  • YMCA
  • Ft Detrick
  • The Religious Coalition
  • Boys and Girls Club of Frederick County
  • Mission of Mercy
  • The Mental Health Association
  • Hope Alive
  • Interfaith Housing
  • Alive@Five
  • Lincoln Elementary School
  • Middletown High School Mock Interviews
  • Police Activities League
  • Frederick Officer of the Month Program
  • The Baker Band Shell
  • The Community Bridge

The event is held at the at the Frederick Fairgrounds located at 797 East Patrick Street, Frederick, MD. Arrive at the Volunteer Check In desk at least 15 minutes prior to your assigned shift. You will need time to park, locate the Volunteer Check In desk, get your T-shirt and get to your assigned area. Don’t forget to allow time for traffic in the area. If you plan to eat prior to your shift allow plenty of time- we expect to be very busy. There will be access to a limited food menu in our Volunteer Support area.

You must wear your cool volunteer T-shirt and name badge while you’re volunteering. By law, you may not drink alcohol while wearing your T-shirt and volunteering. We will have a private area for you to change your shirt or you can use one of the restrooms.

Parking for volunteers is the same as patrons of the event. Enter through gate 6 on Patrick Street. The Volunteer Check In tent will be located just outside of Building 8. If you are familiar with the complex, Building 8 is at the west end of the Grandstand, which is the tallest building in the middle of the Fairgrounds. If you have trouble finding the Check In area, ask anyone wearing a volunteer shirt.

Thank you for volunteering for Frederick’s Oktoberfest
