The Rotary Clubs of Carroll Creek and Southern Frederick County would like to thank our 600+ volunteers putting in more than 8,000 man/ woman hours at this year’s Frederick Oktoberfest. Without your help, none of this would be possible.
Oktoberfest does not have any paid employees- everyone is a volunteer. Every penny we raise with your help provides resources to support our community. Our clubs have supported, donated and volunteered locally to: The Religious Coalition, The Mental Health Association, Hope Alive, Interfaith Housing, Boys & Girls Club, Alive@Five, Lincoln Elementary School, Middletown High School Mock Interviews, Police Activities League, Frederick Officer of the Month Program, Tour De Frederick, The Baker Band Shell, The Community Bridge, Operation 2nd Chance, the ARC of Frederick County, and the YMCA to name just a few.
We hope you had fun while volunteering and will consider coming back in 2017. As always, we love to hear from you and welcome your feedback. If you have any comments or suggestions email us at email@example.com.

The event is held at the at the Frederick Fairgrounds located at 797 East Patrick Street, Frederick, MD. Arrive at the Volunteer Check In desk at least 15 minutes prior to your assigned shift. You will need time to park, locate the Volunteer Check In desk, get your T-shirt and get to your assigned area. Don’t forget to allow time for traffic in the area. If you plan to eat prior to your shift allow plenty of time- we expect to be very busy. There will be access to a limited food menu in our Volunteer Support area.
A FEW DETAILS
Parking for volunteers is the same as patrons of the event. Enter through gate 6 on Patrick Street. The Volunteer Check In tent will be located just outside of Building 8. If you are familiar with the complex, Building 8 is at the west end of the Grandstand, which is the tallest building in the middle of the Fairgrounds. If you have trouble finding the Check In area, ask anyone wearing a volunteer shirt. A map of the grounds can be found at www.thegreatfrederickfair.com.
A FEW RULES
You must wear your cool volunteer T-shirt and name badge while you’re volunteering. By law, you may not drink alcohol while wearing your T-shirt and volunteering. We will have a private area for you to change your shirt or you can use one of the restrooms.
