EVENT BASICS

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

PARKING: No cost, but we urge you to support the Rotary Interact Club volunteers from local high schools who run the parking lots with a donation.

WEATHER: Rain or shine! We have both indoor and outdoor festivities, most under tents. If the weather forecast is grim, we will post updates to our offerings on our social media channels.

PETS: The Fairgrounds have a strict “No Pets” policy, and we have to abide by it.  So please leave your furry loved ones at home, even the well-behaved ones. This is not something that we can control; it is part of our contract.

FRIDAY: Friday is 21+ only! Saturday is all ages!

KIDS’ ZONE: Bring children of any age to our children’s area, which includes arts and crafts + concerts. Saturday only – closes at 6PM.

SMOKING: There will be one area designated as the smoking area within our event; we kindly ask you to abide and only smoke in this area.

HANDICAP ACCESSIBLE: Yes!

GREEN EFFORTS:  Frederick's Oktoberfest has been diverting close to 65% of our waste from the landfill annually for years. The goal at Oktoberfest is to be zero waste and here is how you can help:
There will be stations throughout the event that have three containers: one for recycling {we will take cans, plastic bottles, and glass bottles}; one for compost {all food and compostable napkins, plates, and utensils will go here}, and one will be trash which is anything that does not fit into the other containers. There will be signs on each container showing examples. The Oktoberfest Green Team asks that you be mindful of the trash you produce at this event and dispose of it properly and even better, do not bring or produce something that cannot be recycled or composted.

VOLKSMARCH:  The Seneca Valley Sugarloafers Volksmarch Club will sponsor a walk on September 30, 2023. The 5km/10km trails, rated 2A, went to the Airport and then through Historic Downtown Frederick along Carroll Creek Linear Park. The start time is between 10AM-1PM with a required FINISH BY 4:00 p.m. Restrooms are available at the Start/Finish point and along the trail. Walkers will enjoy free entry into Oktoberfest.
